"Love peanuts. I swear food still tastes different down here. Tastes better. More real. Everyone in the Dreaming says that's phooey, but I know what I know. They're all the ones in denial. Not that I'm telling Taramis that of course, I don't wanna be a dick - oh hey, you got one of those little fridges in here." Matthew happily prattled once they reached Kate's office, like it was difficult for him to have held it in for so long.
Dream entered behind them, standing in front of her desk with his hands folded. "I don't require anything."
"No hey, give him something. Man hasn't eaten in weeks. I know, he technically feeds off dream stuff, but he hasn't even been eating that and a full belly goes a long way," Matthew interjected, settling himself on Kate's desk.
"I thought I employed a raven, not a hen," Dream said dryly, to which Matthew ruffled his feathers.
Muttering something about ungrateful bosses, Matthew turned to Kate. "So uh, it's okay we stopped by, right? Seems like pretty cool digs you've got here. Bet people like working where they get free lunch."
